Bob Marley's Daughter, Cedella Marley, Releases Swim Wear, Children's Book, Harambe, Sauces, + More

Jamaican singer, dancer, fashion designer, actress, author, and entrepreneur, Cedella Marley is making her father Bob Marley proud. Cedella is the eldest daughter of Bob and Rita Marley and she is the mom of Skip and Soul-Rebel. She is also one of eleven children of Bob Marley's.
Cedella and three of her siblings formed the group 'Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers,' to which the group won three Grammy Awards. After their fathers passing the group released ten albums, leading up to their break up in 2002. Continuing with the music industry Cedella was brought in as the CEO of her father's recording label, Tuff Gong International.
In the late 80s and early 90s, Cedella Marley continued in the industry appearing in a few movies, including The Mighty Quinn (1989) starring Denzel Washington, and was the female lead in Joey Breaker (1993) opposite of Richard Edson. She also was featured in a documentary movie titled Marley.
After adding musician, and actor to her list of accomplishments Cedella continued into the fashion industry. The fashion icon added clothing lines known as "Catch a Fire", "High Tide", "Nice Time Deconstructed", and "Nice Time Kids" to the fashion industry. In doing so, Cedella was announced in 2011 to be the designer behind the uniform for the Jamaican track and field team during the 2012 Olympics. A few years later, she released a menswear line titled 'Marley,' proceeds of which went to benefit the Jamaican women's national football team, the Reggae Girlz, to which Marley is currently a sponsor and official ambassador of.
A year later, in 2015, Cedella teamed up with Karen Marley to create the clothing line 'Harambe' the line pays tribute to Rita Marley. Then, she created the official Reggae Boys jersey partnering with Romai.
Over the last decade Cedella's swim wear collection, 'Hide Tides,' has grown in popularity ever since appearing on an episode of Season 19 of America's Next Top Model. The line concept came from "using t-shirt art."
Cedella is also a well known children's book author, creating more than six novels. On January 4th of 2022 she will come out with her sixth book 'Marley and The Family Band.'
Along with all of her accomplishments, Cedella is also the acting director of the Bob Marley Foundation. The Foundation "seeks to deliver social interventions throughout Jamaica through educational and community development initiatives." She also participates in Bob Marley's 1Love foundation. Cedella is the creator of the musical Bob Marley's Three Little Birds, which includes several of her father's songs, and has even come out with her own line of sauces.
